Rescue Mission 2066

Rescue Mission 2066 is an immersive solo theatre show that invites audiences to step inside a theatrical time machine and travel to the year 2066. From the moment the performance begins, the audience becomes part of a future shaped by the choices we make today.

The show blends political storytelling with a first love story that gives the audience someone to root for and grounds the journey emotionally. This personal narrative adds warmth, humour, and depth, offering an intimate counterpoint to the broader political themes.

Blending storytelling and monologue with projected short films, original songs, dance, interactive rap, and violin, the performance moves fluidly between comedy and emotional intensity. A standout moment is Chief Baboon, a wildly comic song and satirical portrait of narcissistic political leaders that invites laughter, recognition, and critical reflection rather than judgement.

The audience is actively involved: they join in a song and a rap, take part in an immersive moment where they choose their own volunteer roles — prompting reflection on the skills and strengths they can offer — and each person leaves with the Love Rules Manifesto, a tangible takeaway from the experience.

Love Rules Manifesto

Created in response to dark political times, Rescue Mission 2066 offers hope rather than answers. Aimed particularly at teens and young adults — while remaining engaging for all adults — the show seeks to spark curiosity, empathy, and a sense of possibility, planting seeds for imagining and working towards a better future.

Praise for Rescue Mission 2066

"Kirsten has been a regular performer at the cabaret and lip-sync battle nights I host, and she's consistently outstanding—professional, charismatic, and incredibly talented both musically and interpretively. So I was excited to see Rescue Mission 2066 — and I absolutely loved it. It was creative, thought-provoking, and genuinely very funny. The songs were excellent and really added to the show."
