Over the years I have followed my interests and expertise to develop a number of different cultural activities. These generally last around an hour and are interactive, sometimes taking a workshop format. My mission is to bring people together to have fun while getting them thinking and feeling deeply, with the ultimate aim of making this world a kinder place.

Gender issues

• Herstory: Engage in an interactive exploration of women's rights throughout history, comparing the current panorama and joining inclusive discussions on these issues. [ Video 1, Video 2 ]

Love and relationships

• Tales of Love and Romance: Tales of Love and Romance: I tell and sing various stories and ballads on the theme of love to then talk about what love is, and the way some romantic ideals no longer serve us in the 21st century. [ Video 1 ]

Self-development Workshops

• Difficult Conversations: Workshop to gain insights and tools for navigating challenging conversations with confidence, empathy, and constructive communication.
• Presentation Skills: Learn practical techniques and strategies to enhance your presentation skills, including work on voice and body language, dealing with nerves, and content that will engage your audience.

Writer and Storytelling Talks

• Interactive Talk about Eckhart Tolle: Explore the teachings of Eckhart Tolle on mindfulness, presence, and spiritual awakening through an engaging and interactive discussion with practice exercises.
• The Art of Storytelling: Discover the craft and magic of storytelling, exploring techniques, narrative structure, and the power of storytelling to connect, inspire, and transform.
• Life and Work of Roald Dahl: Celebrate the whimsical world of Roald Dahl, exploring his life, imagination, and some of his quirky short stories.
• Oscar Wilde's World: Step into the flamboyant world of Oscar Wilde, exploring his wit, creativity, and provocative insights into society, art, and human nature. There is an opportunity for participants to act out a scene from the Importance of Being Ernest and I tell two of his moving fairy tales.
• Shakespeare’s Life and Legacy: Includes an overview of Shakespeare’s life, with explanation about Shakespeare's theatre company and Globe Theatre, as well as activities for the audience to join in with songs from Shakespeare’s plays and a look at one of his poems.

Traditional Storytelling

• Cupid and Psyche: Delve into the classic myth of Cupid and Psyche, exploring its enduring symbolism and themes of love, trust, and perseverance.
• Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol: Experience the magic of Dickens' beloved Christmas tale, with its timeless message of redemption, compassion, and the spirit of giving.
• Music and Stories from the UK: Immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of the United Kingdom through a captivating blend of traditional stories and folk music, exploring the heritage and diversity of British storytelling traditions.

Social History Talks

• London's Underbelly: Journey into the darker side of London's history, uncovering tales of crime, intrigue, and scandal that lurk beneath the city's surface.
• London Culture: A show in English for students below level B1, which explores the history of London, some of the city´s emblematic buildings and both traditional and modern London songs and stories. The show includes live music, karaoke and a quiz, with plenty of visual aids to help with comprehension.
• History of Rock and Pop: Rock out to the dynamic sounds and stories of rock and pop music. A lighthearted and interactive look at the history of rock using videos, storytelling, group karaoke, live music (violin and voice) and a liberal dose of humour. This activity can also be adapted for lower levels
